  JOLLY MOLLY THE CLOWN

where did
jolly molly
Come from?

Early Beginnings

Jolly Molly began her career in elementary school when she spent more time in the hallway or principal's office than in class because of her shenanigans.
A natural performer, she went on to combine her love and experience of music, theatre, comedy and children to create her clowning character circa 1980.
FUN FACT!  Her first character name was actually Molly McKay,
and then Molly the Clown, and then by 1983 her
official name became JOLLY MOLLY the Clown.

She performed in Oregon and Washington at community events, private birthday parties, company events and picnics, festivals, all types of schools, libraries, concerts, private clubs, fairs and festivals, hospitals, malls, parades for sporting and charity events, and for City of Portland events.

A new page with copious amounts of newspaper articles featuring her work with children, along with a selection of letters of appreciation will be posted later  this year.  Long live the joy and laughs Jolly Molly shared with others!

"I like the spontaneity.  I can dress up and drive down the street and people will just start laughing."  -Kathy / Jolly Molly (excerpt from an interview with the Tower Tidings in Hollywood, CA.)
...and they sure DID laugh!  Click pics to enlarge with captions.
